The Arabian's origin is in the Arabian peninsula thousands of years ago and has influenced many other breeds. It was a very important horse to the nomadic Bedouin people of the Middle East desert. They often sheltered the horse inside the family tent. This close human contact gave the Arab a willingness to please. Its finely chiseled head makes it easily recognizable along with its high tail carriage. This beautiful, spirited breed is considered to be very intelligent and fast with incredibly high endurance. It is also able to withstand harsh conditions because of its origins in the desert. The Arabian ranges from 14-15hh.
