Originating in Ireland, the Irish Draught (can also be spelled 'Draft') is a powerfully built horse of substance, but not as heavily built as the name implies. Once used for agriculture as well as war (as recent as World War I) the breed was crossed with Thoroughbreds and now excels in jumping and many other competitions. The Irish Draught ranges from 15.3-17hh.
